Presuming that the woman of the second verse is a homeless person rather than a ghost, I feel the poignancy of uncertainty and your concern for her – rather in the vein of the well-known Basho ‘I wonder how my neighbour fares’ haiku. You have beautifully captured the essence of another natural seasonal cycle.
