I was swooped out of the rivermist of my dreams at 2:00 yesterday morning by a massive thunderclap in Kyoto. I switched on the telly and watched two hawks (Federer ((arrow) ‘featherer’) and Djokovic) fight it out at Wimbledon. The elder hawk won.
Hurray, Murray, the Golden Eagle! Going to watch him eat Featherer now…
I like the ‘rivermist of my dreams’!
“out of the rivermist”, what a wonderful phrase, and all that it evokes.
